The Picture of Dorian Gray

Concept: Classic Book Redesign
Industry: Arts & Entertainment
Project: Designed cover, text layout and illustrated a series of morphing flowers for each chapter. I used flowers to represent the characters, emotions, mood, and symbolism of sexuality in Victorian times. Flowers were often associated with obvious meanings as well as secret messages, both of which Oscar Wilde intended in the language of this book. I chose Baskerville as the typeface for it's humble elegance, legibilty, and balance between traditional and modern style.
